Rudolf Kocéa
Clowns
12 January - 18 March 2020

In this new exhibition, Rudolf Kocéa talks of politics, ancient history, myth and material. The eponymous Clowns are drawn from the global political stage – Donald Trump, Boris Johnson, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan – blindsiding us with political posturing and tomfoolery whilst the rich line their pockets and the poor get poorer. Rudolf explores the visual effects of enamel on different metal surfaces and the pictorial possibilities of worked pieces of nephrite, marble, agate, sodalite and crystal.
