Renate Heintze (1936–1991) was a central figure in the 1960s’ generation of artists who transcended the traditional boundaries of jewellery and became the trailblazers of contemporary art jewellery as we know it today. An influential educator as well as an artist, Renate was head of the jewellery class at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle from 1974 until her death in 1991.

Fazit was published to accompany the exhibition Renate Heintze. A Modern Classic at Schmuck in Munich in 2017. With essays by Petra Hölscher, Margit Jäschke, Christiane Keisch, Wolfgang Lösche and Katja Schneider, an illustrated biography and large format photographs.
