Katharina Dettar was born in the German town of Fürth in 1988. She was educated at Massana School in Barcelona, Spain (BA Artistic Jewellery, 2010), followed by a bachelor at the Fachhochschule in Idar-Oberstein, Germany (2013 Jewellery and Stonework) and a Master of Arts in Jewellery and Metal at the Royal College of Art, in London, United Kingdom (2016).
