Growth, transformation and striving for the unknown unfold within the space of Dream Apart. I use the phenomenon of seed dispersal as my starting point. It is only in seed form that plants can travel. Spread by the wind, they have hairs, wings or parachutes to transport them. I use aluminum because of its symbolic significance as the material that has taken humans into the air and even beyond Earth’s orbit. My attitude to this material is quite sentimental and full of expectation. I use it as powder, foil, sheet and combine it with other materials to create my own ‘alloys’. Individual repetitive elements are composed  into objects similar to those capable of flight.
