Galerie Marzee invites you to the opening of the 40th Marzee International Graduate Show.

Join us on Saturday 12 September 2026 at 16:00 to celebrate a new generation of international jewellery artists. This anniversary edition brings together recent graduates from academies and universities around the world, presenting new  perspectives on contemporary jewellery.

For four decades, the Marzee International Graduate Show has offered an important first international platform to emerging makers. We look forward to welcoming the participating artists, their teachers, friends, collectors, colleagues, and all those interested in discovering new talent. 

The 40th Marzee International Graduate Show

The Marzee International Graduate Show is Galerie Marzee’s annual survey of emerging contemporary jewellery artists. It is both an exhibition and an early-career platform: selected recent graduates gain international visibility, meet peers, present their work publicly, and may be considered for the Marzee Graduate Prize. Rather than merely displaying degree-show outcomes, the exhibition puts emerging makers into contact with collectors, curators, galleries, fellow artists, and the specialist public. Its aim is to support a new generation of jewellery artists, broaden public exposure, and prompt dialogue between makers and wearers.

Participating graduates also take part in a one-day symposium, where they introduce their work and discuss inspirations, ambitions, and the transition from the supportive environment of art school into professional practice.

Selection and participation

The selection focuses on the strongest graduating work from jewellery, metal, and related object courses internationally. The 2026 participant list included schools across Australia, Belgium, China, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, South Korea, the United Kingdom, United States and many other countries. Over 90 graduates from 40 academies will participate in this anniversary edition of the Marzee International Graduate Show.

Graduate Prize

Each year, Marzee awards the Marzee Graduate Prize to several participants judged especially promising. Prize recipients receive a one-week residency at the Ravary estate in Belgium; work made there is subsequently exhibited in the following year’s Graduate Show.

For the 2025 show, Marzee Graduate Prize recipients included Chun Chang, Won-Young Choi, Jeong-Min Han, Susie Heuberger, Chidimma Omeke, Marleen Wysocki, and Jinjin Zhang.

The 40th Marzee International Graduate Show opens on Saturday 12 September 2026 at 16:00 and runs until 17 November 2026.
