Trinidad Contreras

Working largely with hollow porcelain forms, Trinidad Contreras describes her work as the result of deep introspection and the materialisation of a personal and emotional state. Order, beauty and harmony take centre stage as she reflects on a world where time passes by slowly but vitally, in a constant, circular motion of creation and destruction.

Born in Seville in 1977, Trinidad studied at Escola Massana in Barcelona, where she has lived and worked ever since. She is part of the contemporary jewellery collective Bórax08001, founded at Massana in 2010. Trinidad’s work is exhibited internationally and can be seen in the Marzee Collection, the Gallery of Art in Legnica in Poland and the Cominelli Foundation collection in Italy.
