Graziano Visintin

Fascinated by circles, triangles and squares, Graziano Visintin seeks out the expressive potential of these primary shapes through a language of minimalism, expression, lyricism, science and technique. The warm colour of gold is often enhanced by hints of enamel or niello, adding new, pictorial dimensions to the metal. Without elaborate decoration, his pieces create a visual and physical quality of purity and lightness.

Graziano was born in Padua in Italy in 1954 and educated, under Giampaolo Babetto, at the Istituto Statale d’Arte Pietro Selvatico, where he also taught for many years. He has received numerous international awards and his work is exhibited widely. It can be seen in collections such as the Marzee Collection, the Palazzo Zuckermann in Padua, the Museo degli Argenti di Palazzo Pitti in Florence, Die Neue Sammlung in Munich, the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in New York and the Hiko Mizuno School of Jewelry Collection in Tokyo.
